Post 1 Why I Read
I read because when I read I feel like I’m in a whole new
world that their reality seems like I’m in it, good or bad. I like to think
that the stories are happening around me and I’m submersed into it all. I also
read because it take away from my own reality, from the bad parts, and lets my
imagination flow. Reading to me takes up my time to do something better than
just sit around and vegetate on the couch watching TV. It seems that I learn so
much more and that I can absorb more from reading than anything. I enjoy reading
on my own time, I usually read really fast, where I can’t imagine putting the
book down. It’s not that I’m a fast reader I just want to get through the book
to know the end because the book is written so smoothly that it makes it easy
to do so. It’s easy for me to just sit down for five minutes to read a little
and it ends up turning into hours of reading. I also enjoy to challenge myself
to get out of my comfort zone and read something different or even more
challenging.

I totally agree with you about wanting to submerse yourself into the book. I always try to imagine what I would do in that situation and I feel like that is the best way to do so.
